Joel Clement is a Senior Fellow with the Center for Science and Democracy at the Union of Concerned Scientists and the public face of the UCS Science Protection Project, through which federal scientists may confidentially report political interference in government science. Mr. Clement served in the US Department of the Interior (DOI) before becoming a whistleblower in 2017. He works to expose political interference in science from the Trump administration and Congress.
Coral and aquaculture scientist, founder of Plant a Million corals
Dr. David Vaughan has held positions in aquaculture research and development for over 45 years. As previous Executive Director of the Mote Marine Laboratory in the Florida Keys, he started the coral restoration program, heralded with developing the new technology of “micro-fragmentation”. Dr. Vaughan is presently helping people globally in this process as a scalable tool for reef restoration as Founder of Plant a Million Corals.

Johan Rockström is a professor in environmental science with emphasis on water resources and global Sustainability. He helped lead the internationally renowned team of scientists that presented the planetary boundaries framework. This framework has been embraced as an approach to sustainable development, and has been used to help guide governments, international organizations, NGOs, and companies considering sustainable development. Rockström acts as chair of the advisory board for the EAT Foundation
President and CEO of HeartMath Institute
Sara Childre's interest in the field of human development led her to participate in several long-term research projects with HeartMath founder Doc Childre, as she shares his vision of optimizing human performance and well-being. Since 1991, Childre has helped oversee and develop HeartMath trainings, educational products and scientific programs. She was appointed vice president and CFO of the institute in 1992 and president and CEO in 1998.

Rutherford Seydel founded The Oxygen project after meeting Jacques Cousteau. His conversation with Cousteau, coupled with decades of acquired knowledge, led him to the realization that the most important organisms – phytoplankton – were being overlooked by the scientific community and the mainstream media. The Oxygen Project is an organization focused on protecting this vital species.

Carlos Nobre dedicated his scientific carrier mostly to Amazonian and climate science at the Brazil’s National Institutes of Amazonian Research (INPA) and Space Research (INPE). He is presently a senior researcher with the Institute for Advanced Studies, University of São Paulo and the creator of the Amazon Third Way-Amazonia 4.0 Initiative that seeks a new development paradigm based on a biodiversity-driven bio-economy utilizing modern technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Gavin A. Schmidt is a climatologist, climate modeler and Director of the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York, and co-founder of the award-winning climate science blog RealClimate. Gavin Schmidt’s main research interest lies in understanding the variability of the climate, both its internal variability and the response to external forcing.

Ricarda Winkelmann is a Professor of climate system analysis at Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK) and University of Potsdam, Physics Institute, Germany. She is an active member of the Earth Commission, she leads the PIK working group on IIce Dynamics and co-leads PIK future-lab Earth Resilience in the Anthropocene. Ricarda Winkelmann also co-developed the Parallel ice sheet model PISM.

Rebecca came to WWF from the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where she was responsible for developing and implementing the vision and strategy of the Land, Water & Wildlife program. Prior to joining EDF in 2011, she served first as Director of Conservation Science and then as Associate State Director at the Nature Conservancy's California Chapter.

Dave’s works in the fields of data management, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and remote sensing. While at Google, he helped develop many projects including Global Forest Watch, with the World Resources Institute, and Map of Life, with researchers from Yale and the University of Florida.
